While many of the functional requirements will be documented and provided by the Service Delivery Processes Lead,
there may be some functional requirements that cannot be applied to specific processes. For example: reporting,
auditing, printing, security, licensing support/enforcement including the number of licenses required for end user,
application and operating system related items, authentication requirements, etc. Such functional requirements should be
documented in the supplementary specification.
A check is made to ensure that the future licensing position is understood and any variations and changes are fed into the
later steps. It should be noted that the Transition phase may be impacted if it is found that licenses are not available or
unable to be used.
It is necessary to capture and share these details with Client stakeholders as it should have a financial impact and
must be governed by Finance And Contracts processes.
Once all the requirements are captured, verified and baselined, the Tools Subject Matter Expert must commence
configuration of processes in the tools.
